Organizations

Prince of Peace encourages the participation of our parents in providing a quality education for our children. We believe that parents are the primary educators of their children, and we strive to work cooperatively with them to foster Christian values and build their children's foundation for the future. In addition to volunteering in the classroom and being active in Parish activities, parents can offer their support by becoming involved with any of the following organizations:
School Board
The School Board is an advisory body to the pastor and principal. It is involved in policy making, the school budget and future planning, including the implementation of our long-range plan. The School Board is made up of nine parishioners. For more information regarding the School Board, click here.

     School Board Marketing Team
The School Marketing Team's goal is to increase School enrollment by increasing Parish and community awareness of the high-quality, faith-based education offered by our School. This will be accomplished by developing and implementing a School Marketing Plan.  The plan will include community awareness and service projects, public relations work, greater School participation in the Weekly Masses and Parish Bulletin, and outreach to local Catholic churches that do not currently offer the values-based education of a Catholic school. For more information regarding the Marketing Team, click here.

Class room monitors, Grade Communicators via e-mails, Lunch Monitors, and Classroom Representatives all work with the faculity to provide communications and safety for the students.

POP organizes the fund raising events that supplement the school budget in order to keep tuition as low as possible. Fundraising events are organized and run by groups of dedicated parents. Thes events are: Rummage Sale in June, Golf Outing in June, Pizzazz Dinner Dance and Auction in November, Yankee Candle Sales and Cookie Exchange in december, Spring Fling in March, Walk-a-Thon in May and our monthly restaurant nights. Technology Committee
The Technology Committee updates and maintains the school's technical
resources, including installing software, deploying new equipment, and
troubleshooting. The team is responsible for building a technical architecture and infrastructure that is robust, cost-effective, and scaleable.
Girl Scouts
The Girl Scouts meet biweekly during the school year and Kindergarten through 8th graders have the opportunity to participate in combined activities and to work as independent groups. This allows the younger girls to have upper grade level girls to look up to as role models and guidance while also enabling our upper grade level girls to have opportunities in leadership and mentoring. Our leaders strive to help our girls develop responsibility, learn to achieve the best they can individually, and learn how to work together as a group. Additional fee is required. For additional information regarding Girl Scouts, click here.
Boy Scouts
Open to 1st through 8th graders, the Cub/Boy Scouts meet year-round, usually biweekly, and provide our scouts with an opportunity to build desirable qualities of character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. A family program—parents, leaders, and scouts work together to influence the development of character, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and fostering pride while growing strong in mind, body, and spirit. Additional fee is required. For additional information regarding Boy Scouts, click here. For Cub Scouts, click here.  To see Cub Scouts web-site, click here.
